Adriano Smolarek is a Professor in International Law at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG – Brazil), Doctor in Applied Social Sciences at the National University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG – Brazil), whose research were periodically lead at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM -Spain), and Associate Member of the Brazilian Academy of International Law (ABDI). He is a specialist in the Self-determination of Peoples and their International Legal Regimes. His research focus among other things on the claiming process of state entities’ recognition, the support and historical compilation of diplomatic acts by the Brazilian state over the Western Sahara conflict but also by Southern American States.
