« Western Sahara and the conflict that has been unfolding there since 1975 remain unkown by the French public. However, the status of this territory located between Morocco and Mauritania never ceased worsening relations within the Maghreb area for several decades. A multidisciplinary and multiscalar approach will provide a more insightful understanding of the stakes. »
Sébastien Boulay is Associate professor in Anthropology at Paris Cité University and Meriem Naïli is an international law jurist. They are both members of the Steering Committee of the Western Sahara International Academic Observatory.
